Together with various doctors and hospital managers, the concept for a German Medical Center was developed. The aim of the concept is to bring hospitals in crisis and developing countries to the highest possible standard of medical care. The standard in Germany is not necessarily the benchmark. Rather, a local standard is to be developed that can be reached in the respective region. After a review of the participating hospitals, feasible changes and improvements should be implemented. Compliance with the new standard is reviewed at regular intervals by third parties. All participating hospitals are networked to exchange experience, know-how and treatment options for patients. The implementation of German Medical Centers will soon start with hospitals in Iran, Oman and Iraq. Further countries will follow soon.
